According to the Muscogee County Coroner’s Office, a pedestrian crash that took place in Columbus claimed the life of a 16-year-old boy, who was identified as Devonte Cage.
Roughly at 2:08 a.m., a vehicle that was traveling along the road struck Devonte Cage. Devonte Cage was fatally injured and was pronounced dead at the scene. The identity of the vehicle that struck Cage is unknown.
It is not yet known if alcohol or drugs played a role in the crash. The cause of the fatal crash is still being investigated. No further information is available at the moment.
