According to the California Highway Patrol, a hit-and-run accident occurred in Thousand Oaks on Tuesday. The crash happened in Simi Valley.
According to the investigators, a white Toyota Camry and a 16-year-old were involved in the collision. The driver of the Toyota was traveling at a high speed and struck an unknown pedestrian and fled the scene.
A 16-year-old boy was identified as the unknown pedestrian who suffered significant injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene. His identity is not yet disclosed at this time.
It is not yet known if alcohol or drugs played a role in the accident. No additional information regarding the fatal crash was provided by the Deputies.
