The Glendale Police Department reported a motor vehicle crash on Tuesday evening. The accident happened close to 53rd and Grand Avenues.
A 17-year-old boy was speeding with three other teenagers inside at around 7 p.m. The pickup truck driver tried to make a left turn as the teenager swerved to avoid a collision. But the teenager lost control and crashed into a curb.
Three teenagers who were not wearing seatbelts were thrown from the rolling car, according to the police.
At the scene, a 15-year-old boy passed away. The driver and two 16-year-old girls were taken by ambulance to the hospital with serious injuries. The identity of the deceased victim is not yet known at this time.
The fatal crash is being investigated by the officials. No other information is available currently.
