According to the Laredo Police Department, a fatal crash was reported on Wednesday night in Laredo. Officials confirmed that one person died due to the motor vehicle accident.
Authorities stated that the collision occurred near Cuatro Vientos and Aguanieve. The deceased pedestrian was identified as 15-year-old Mark Manzanares. Manzanares was walking with his 22-year-old brother when he was struck by a 2019 Dodge Charger while crossing the road.
Manzanares was pronounced dead at the scene of the wreck. Insights pertaining to the cause of the accident are yet to be released. The officials have not reported if the brother was injured in the crash.
The crash continues to be investigated by the LPD. It is not yet known if alcohol or drugs played a role in the collision. There are no other details available at this time.
