15-year-old juvenile injured after being hit by a vehicle in Augusta (Augusta, GA)

On Tuesday morning, a 15-year-old pedestrian standing on a corner was injured when a vehicle struck them in Augusta.

As per the initial information, the auto-pedestrian crash took place at about 8:34 a.m. at Westview Avenue and Clark Street. The preliminary investigation indicated that one vehicle was heading east on Clark Street while another was going south on Westview Avenue. For unknown reasons, both the vehicles crashed into each other, causing one of the vehicles to go off the roadway and hit a teen who was standing on the corner.

On arrival, medical personnel rushed the pedestrian to Augusta University Medical Center in serious condition. The drivers of both vehicles were also taken to the hospital with minimal injuries. The identities of the victims have not been revealed at this time. No other details are made available.

An investigation is ongoing.
