The Texas Department of Public Safety reported a motor vehicle accident on Sunday afternoon. The accident occurred on Hartford Road, just south of Jamaica Road at around 3:37 p.m.
According to the officials, a truck was headed north when it went off the road from the left. It then crashed into a ditch. The driver tried to overcorrect which then caused the truck to fall into the ditch on the other side.
A person present in the vehicle was fatally injured and was pronounced dead at the scene. The identity of the victim, a 15-year-old boy, has not been disclosed at this time.
The cause of the fatal crash is still being investigated at this time. It is not yet known if alcohol or drugs played a role in the collision.
