15 People Injured, Including 2 Officers Following A Crash In Gallup (Gallup, N. M)

Jeff Irving was arrested for causing fifteen injuries, including two police officers during a motor vehicle accident.

According to the Gallup Police, Irving drove into the Gallup Intertribal Ceremonial Parade route on August 4. Police responded to reports of several people drinking alcohol in a car along South 7th Street and West Coal Avenue during the parade.

Upon arriving at the scene, state police say the driver put his vehicle into drive and drove east on westbound Coal Avenue. He continued to head towards South 2nd Street.

State police arrested Jeff Irving after he crashed the vehicle on Historic Route 66 and South 2nd Street in Gallup, according to court documents.

According to court documents, Irving admitted to drinking alcohol.

In addition to driving under the influence, expired registration, and possession of an open container, Irving was charged with leaving the scene of an accident and fleeing a law enforcement officer.
