14-Year-Old Was Killed In A Motor Vehicle Crash In Sacramento County (Sacramento County, CA)

The California Highway Patrol reported a motor vehicle crash that claimed the life of a 14-year-old boy in Sacramento County on Monday.

At around 10:30 p.m., a 14-year-old boy was driving a scooter on the east side of the sidewalk, Don Julio Boulevard, north of Porker Lane. For no particular reason, he entered the path of the approaching vehicle outside the crosswalk. The approaching vehicle struck the scooter and the boy was transported to the hospital. Later he was pronounced dead. 

The identity of the boy is not yet disclosed. It is not yet known if alcohol or drugs played a role in the crash. The cause of the fatal crash is still being investigated. No further information is available at the moment.
