The Fort Bend County Sheriff’s Office reported a motor vehicle accident in Katy on Thursday. The accident occurred on Mason Road and Cinco Park, at around 7:35 a.m.
According to the officials, a bicyclist and a vehicle were involved in a collision. A bicycle was at the crosswalk when it was hit by a vehicle.
The bicyclist was fatally injured and was pronounced dead at the scene. The officials have since identified the victim as 14-year-old Logan Dark, a student at Cinco Ranch High School.
The cause of the fatal crash is still being investigated. The driver of the vehicle involved remained at the scene and cooperated with the investigation.
