Ottawa County Sheriff’s Deputies are investigating a car crash that killed a 14-year-old Wyoming girl and injured a toddler and three teens near Hudsonville.
The crash happened at Jackson Street and 22nd Avenue at about 12:30 p.m.
According to the authorities, a Jeep Compass driven by a 17-year-old Wyoming male went through a stop sign at 22nd Avenue. The Jeep was then struck by a gravel truck.
The other passengers from the Jeep were a 22-month-old, a 13-year-old male from Grand Rapids, and a 14-year-old girl from Wyoming.
The 14-year-old died at the scene, and the other passengers were taken to the hospital with severe injuries.
The driver also had minor injuries.
Following the crash, the Jeep was engulfed in flames, and the passengers were rescued by the Ottawa county sheriff’s deputies.
The crash is under review.
