The Henderson Police Department reported a hit-and-run accident on Friday. The accident occurred on West Main Street at around 11 p.m.
According to the officials, a white flatbed truck had crashed into a 14-year-old boy. The truck fled the scene before the officials could arrive.
The officials reported that the boy was critically injured and was pronounced dead at the scene. The identity of the boy, beyond his age, has not been disclosed at this time.
The officials have confirmed that the suspect has been apprehended and booked into the Rusk County Jail on Saturday afternoon. The identity is not yet known.
