The Arizona Department of Public Safety reported a motor vehicle accident in Glendale on Friday. The accident occurred on Bell Road near 7th Street. The time of the accident is not entirely clear.
According to the officials, two vehicles were involved in the crash. A vehicle had crashed into the back of another. The events leading up to this are not entirely clear.
One of the passengers present in the second vehicle was fatally injured and pronounced dead. The officials have since reported that the victim was identified as 13-year-old JD Gamino.
The cause of the fatal crash is still being investigated. The vehicle responsible for the collision fled the scene before the officials could arrive and has not been caught since. There are no other details available at this time.
