Tragedy fatal crash struck on Monday as a two-vehicle collision off Main Street claimed the life of a teenager and left three others injured. The Nacogdoches Police Department reported the accident at around 7 p.m. A Dodge pickup was hit from behind while turning onto Quail Ridge Road.
The multi-vehicle accident caused both vehicles, including a Ford F-250 towing a car on a trailer, to veer off the road. The adult driver of the Dodge and a rear juvenile passenger were treated for injuries. A 13-year-old front-seat passenger was fatally injured and was pronounced dead. The identity of the victim has not been disclosed at this time.
Another rear-seat juvenile sustained life-threatening injuries and was flown to a Tyler hospital. The incident remains under investigation.
