The San Marcos CISD reported a motor vehicle crash on Friday morning. The accident happened in the Goodnight middle school parking lot. According to the city, San Marcos police arrived around 8:30 a.m.
An 11 years old student was struck by a vehicle. He was pronounced dead at the scene. The identity of the child has not been disclosed at this time.
It is unsure what caused the rash and how it happened. The fatal collision is being investigated by the officials.
The middle school’s daytime classes were canceled, and students were transferred to the San Marcos High School Student Activity Center for family pick-up. No charges are anticipated against the car’s driver, who has been identified.
