A tragic accident in Sanger claimed the life of a 10-year-old boy, identified as Jameson Doyle. The pedestrian accident occurred around 7 p.m. outside Rotary Ball Park on Bethel and Cherry Avenues, where baseball practice was underway.
According to Sanger police, the boy walked into the street during practice and collided with a truck. Despite being unresponsive, he was still breathing and was rushed to the Community Regional Medical Center in Fresno, where he later succumbed to his injuries.
The truck’s driver, an 18-year-old, is cooperating with the investigation, and preliminary findings suggest the child may have hit the side of the truck. Police are awaiting autopsy results to determine the cause of death and are also obtaining search warrants for further investigation into the fatal crash.
