In the early hours of Monday on the West Side, a tragic hit-and-run accident claimed the life of a woman near the intersection of Northwest Loop 410 and West Military Drive, as per a preliminary police report. Witnesses recounted seeing a dark SUV run over the woman’s body before fleeing on Loop 410.
It remains uncertain if the woman was already on the roadway when she was struck. Despite EMS providing lifesaving measures, she was pronounced dead at the scene. As of now, the victim remains unidentified.
The authorities are actively searching for the driver of the vehicle involved in the fatal crash.
It is not yet known if alcohol or drugs played a role in the collision. There are no other details available at this time.
