According to the Orleans Police Department, a pedestrian crash that occurred in New Orleans claimed the life of a woman on Saturday.
Roughly at 8:39 p.m., a vehicle traveling in the 8500 block of I-10 Service Road, lost control of the vehicle and struck a woman who was also Walking on the same lane. The woman was fatally injured and was pronounced dead at the scene claimed the authorities.
It is not yet known if alcohol or drugs played a role in the crash. The cause of the fatal crash is still being investigated. No further information is available at the moment.
