According to the Knoxville Police Department, a pedestrian accident was reported on Saturday night on North Broadway.
The Knoxville Police Department Communications Manager Scott Erland stated that a crash occurred on North Broadway and Grainger Avenue. The crash involved two pedestrians.
According to the officials, the two pedestrians were hit by a pick-up truck travelling south on North Broadway towards Hall of Fame Drive.
The officials stated that a man and a woman were walking across North Broadway. The pedestrians were taken to the hospital with critical injuries.
The woman was declared dead by the authorities.
The man suffered from critical injuries.
The driver is identified as Kenyan Warren, 43. The Knoxville Police Department charged Warren with vehicular homicide and driving under influence.
