El Paso Police reported that a woman in her mid-twenties was killed after being struck by a vehicle in a fatal collision on Wednesday night. The report stated that a Cadillac and a Nissan Sentra were traveling eastbound at the 1600 block of W. Paisano in Central El Paso.

The Sentra was following behind the Cadillac when, suddenly, two pedestrians ran across the roadway in front of the vehicles. To avoid hitting the pedestrians, the driver of the Cadillac slowed down but struck the young woman with his right mirror, causing her to fall.

Meanwhile, the Nissan Sentra swerved to the right to avoid hitting the Cadillac but hit the right corner of the vehicle along with the pedestrian on the ground.

The pedestrian sustained fatal injuries and died at the scene.
