On Tuesday morning, one woman lost her life following a multi-vehicle pile-up near Craig Road in North Las Vegas.
According to the officers, an elderly female driver was driving northbound on Allen Lane at around 10:20 a.m. near Craig Road when her white Mazda III ran a red light and hit another vehicle. A witness said that the Mazda then continued and struck three other vehicles.
The woman died at the scene of the wreck. One other driver suffered injuries after the crash. Officials blocked the intersection in all directions for some time. The driver of the Mazda was wearing a seatbelt at the time of the accident. It is unknown if impairment played a role in the crash. No citations are being issued at this time.
An investigation is continuing.
