According to the California Highway Patrol, a multi-vehicle accident occurred in Chico on Tuesday. The crash happened on Highway 99 at around 7:15 p.m.
According to the investigators, a red pickup, a silver Honda, and a semi-trailer were involved in the collision. The events leading up to the crash are not yet known at this time.
The officials stated that the Toyota driver suffered significant injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene. The Chico Police Department did not reveal the identity and the name of the unknown deceased person.
Some portions of Highway 99 are blocked for further investigation. No additional information regarding the fatal crash was provided by the Deputies.
