The Texas Department of Public Safety reported a motor vehicle accident in San Antonio on Saturday. The accident occurred on the access road of North Loop 1604 and Interstate 10 West just before 2 a.m.
According to the officials, two vehicles were involved in the collision. A vehicle was headed east on the 1604 access road when it collided with another vehicle headed south.
The officials have reported that the driver of one of the vehicles had incurred fatal injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene. The vehicle passenger had to be rushed to the hospital in critical condition. The identities of the victims are not yet known at this time.
The other vehicle’s driver was arrested due to driving under the influence. They have been charged with intoxication and manslaughter.
The fatal crash is still being investigated. There are no other details available at this time.
