According to the Houston Police, a hit-and-run accident occurred in Houston on Saturday night. The crash happened on Westheimer Road near Winrock Boulevard at around 2:30 a.m.
According to the Police, two women were trying to cross the road, when a truck hit one of them.
One of the women suffered major injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene. Another woman was transported to the hospital for treatment.
The identity of the women was not revealed by the Texas Police Department.
The driver of the truck tried to flee the scene but the airbags deployed which left it unable to drive off.
No additional information regarding the fatal crash was provided by the Deputies.
