The Anaheim Police Department reported a hit-and-run accident on Saturday. The exact location of the accident has not been disclosed at this time.
According to the officials, a man had stolen a BMW in Placentia and had led the police on a chase. He then struck a pedestrian in Anaheim before crashing into a home. The driver then fled the scene on foot.
The pedestrian, identified only as a woman in her 40s, incurred fatal injuries and was taken to a hospital where she was pronounced dead. Her identity has not been disclosed at this time.
The suspect driver was found a few hours later and was arrested. His identity is being withheld at this time.
The cause of the fatal crash is still being investigated at this time.
