According to the California Highway Patrol, a fatal crash was reported on Tuesday in Alhambra. Officials confirmed that one person died due to the pedestrian accident.
Authorities stated that the collision occurred at the intersection of Garfield and San Marino Avenues.
A pedestrian was walking across a marked crosswalk. The driver of a vehicle attempted to make a left turn, while he struck the pedestrian.
The pedestrian sustained critical injuries and was transported to the hospital. She was later pronounced dead. Other information including the identity of the victim remains unknown.
The crash continues to be investigated by the CHP. It is not yet known if alcohol or drugs played a role in the accident.
