According to the Anderson Police Department, a fatal crash was reported on Monday in Anderson. Officials confirmed that one woman died due to the motor vehicle accident.
Authorities stated that the collision occurred in the area of Highway 273. The driver of a truck, identified as 31-year-old Andrew Millner, was pursuing a motorcyclist in a road rage.
Millner failed to stop at a red light and sped through it. This resulted in Millnew crashing into another car, at a very high speed. The driver of the car was pronounced dead when taken to the hospital.
The cause of the accident has been identified as the alcohol intoxication of Millner. Other insights pertaining to the accident have not been released. The crash continues to be investigated by the APD.
