On Saturday evening, a woman lost her life in a rollover accident on State Route 88 near Minden.
The fatal incident took place at about 6:13 p.m. near mile marker 7 in Douglas County on SR-88. As per officials, a car was traveling south when it crossed the center line and drove into the shoulder as a result of which the car rolled several times. The impact ejected the female passenger of the car and she died at the scene.
On arrival, paramedics transported the driver to Renown with unknown injuries. He has been released from the hospital at this time and has been booked into the Douglas County Jail. Impairment is suspected in the crash, but it is unknown if speed played a factor or not.
The crash remains under investigation.
