The Liberty Lake Police Department reported a motor vehicle crash on Sunday morning. The accident happened on 1307 N Liberty Lake Road at around 8:17 a.m. The collision involved a pedestrian.
Officers found a woman had been hit and dragged for a short distance when they arrived. The victim was taken to a nearby hospital, where she later passed away due to injuries. Her identity is not yet known at this time.
The driver of the vehicle involved remained at the scene and is not currently facing any charges.
It is currently unknown whether alcohol or drugs played a role in this collision. It is not thought that driving too fast or recklessly played a role.
The LLPD is still investigating this fatal crash. There are no other details available at this time.
