The San Jose Police Department reported a pedestrian accident that took place in San Jose claimed the life of a person on Tuesday. The accident occurred at around 3:20 a.m., at 40 South Jackson Avenue.
A 2021 Peterbilt Garbage Truck hit a pedestrian while driving out of a parking lot. The pedestrian was fatally injured and was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver of the truck remained at the scene and cooperated in the investigation.
The identity of the dead is not yet disclosed. It is not yet known if alcohol or drugs played a role in the crash. The cause of the fatal crash is still being investigated. No further information is available at the moment.
