The Grand Prairie Police Department reported a multi-vehicle accident on Sunday. The officlals reported that one person died in the accident. The person has not been identified at this time.
Around 2:50 a.m., a Ford pickup truck travelling westbound ploughed into slow-moving traffic and caused a chain-reaction crash in the 4700 block of East I-30, police said.
A passenger in one of the vehicles died at a local hospital. The events leading to the collision are being investigated. The authorities are still investigating the cause of the fatal crash. It is unknown whether alcohol or drugs played a role in the collision.
