1 Person Was Killed In A Motor Vehicle Accident In Edinburg (Edinburg, TX)

The Texas Department Of Public Safety reported a motor vehicle accident on Monday. The officials confirmed that one person died in the accident. According to the officials, the deceased victim was not identified.

Around 11 p.m. Sunday, the crash happened on Tower Road, north of South Trail Drive and east of Edinburg when a white Chevrolet Tahoe collided with the cyclist and fled the scene. The Tahoe was then located near the intersection of Alamo Road and Texas Road with “damage consistent with evidence found at the crash scene.”

The cyclist sustained major injuries and died at the scene. His identity is being withheld pending notification of next of kin. 19-year-old Alan Nicolas Rios was arrested on a charge of intoxication manslaughter and an accident involving death.
