The Caltrain officials reported a fiery Caltrain accident that killed a person in Belmont station on Monday night.
This fatal accident happened at roughly 11:10 p.m. The pedestrian who was approaching the Belmont station was struck by the Caltrain and killed at the scene. The 13 passengers travelling on the train were unharmed, said the Emergency Personnel.
The identity of the dead is not yet disclosed. It is not yet known if alcohol or drugs played a role in the crash.
The cause of the fatal crash is still being investigated. No further information is available at the moment.
