1 Person Was Killed In A Motor Vehicle Accident In Baytown (Baytown, TX)

The Harris County Sheriff’s Office reported a motor vehicle accident occurred in Baytown on Sunday. The officials confirmed that one person died in the accident. According to the officials, the deceased victim was not identified. 

Around  1 p.m. the crash happened on  Sunday in the 4200 block of W. Cedar Bayou Lynchburg Road in Baytown when a 40-year-old man was driving in a GMC Yukon SUV with a 3-year-old boy when he crashed into a utility pole.

Both the man and toddler were ejected from the car in the crash. According to the officials, the child who was believed to be improperly restrained using an adult seatbelt was pronounced dead at the scene. The man did not sustain any injuries and was taken into custody.

The authorities are still investigating the cause of the fatal crash. It is unknown whether alcohol or drugs played a role in the collision.
