1 person trapped after a car went down an embankment in Port Orchard (Port Orchard, WA)

A car went into an embankment in Port Orchard, pinning the driver inside.

According to the reports, emergency responders are working to free the person whose car went over an embankment and into a lake in Port Orchard. According to the South Kitsap Fire, one person was trapped in a vehicle at Phillips Road and Lake Emelia.

As of this moment, crews stated that they have stabilized the car and are working to rescue the person. The identity of the victim has not been released at this time. Authorities have not provided any additional details about the accident.

An investigation is underway.
