According to the Blackman-Leoni Township Department, a motor vehicle crash was reported in Jackson County on Tuesday night.
Officials confirmed that the driver of the semi truck was seriously injured due to the accident.
Authorities stated that the collision occurred on West Parnall Road near Lansing Avenue.
The driver of a pick up truck crossed the centerline, thereby crossing into an oncoming semi truck.
The man driving the pick up truck was pinned in his vehicle and had to be extricated using hydraulic rescue tools.
The pickup driver was transported to Henry Ford Jackson Hospital for sustaining injuries.
The driver of the semi truck was not injured.
Alcohol is believed to be a factor that led to the crash.
