According to the Michigan State Police, a motor vehicle crash was reported on Thursday morning in Detroit.
Officials confirmed that one person was seriously injured due to the accident.
Authorities stated that the collision occurred on westbound I-94 near the I-275 interchange.
A pickup truck driver slammed into a car while the traffic was stopped.
The car was waiting to get onto the interchange in the right lane when it was hit from behind.
The Police troopers later found the car in a ditch.
The victim who was in the car was critically injured.
The driver of the pickup did not sustain any injuries.
The crash is being investigation.
