One person suffered serious injuries following a high-speed crash in Nashville.
As per the initial information, the two-vehicle collision took place at the intersection of Brick Church Pike and West Trinity Lane. The preliminary investigation revealed that the semi-trailer truck had the green light and the right of way while the Cadillac was heading east on Trinity Lane at a high rate of speed.
According to the eyewitnesses, the driver of the Cadillac disregarded a red light and drove underneath the Tractor Trailer. The vehicle ended up in the middle of the intersection under the trailer. On arrival, medical personnel rushed the driver of the Cadillac to Vanderbilt Hospital with life-threatening injuries.
Toxicology testing was conducted on the Cadillac driver to find out if drugs or alcohol were involved in the collision. The roadway was initially closed, but was later back open. No additional information has been provided.
An investigation into the crash is ongoing.
