In the early hours of Sunday, a fatal rollover crash occurred on southbound Interstate 15 at the Sixth Street on-ramp in Riverside. The California Highway Patrol (CHP) attributes the crash to excessive speed.
A witness who narrowly avoided being struck by the speeding black Honda Accord reported the accident. The vehicle swerved and rolled over multiple times, resulting in the driver being ejected and landing in the middle of the on-ramp.
Tragically, the driver was fatally injured and was pronounced dead in the motor vehicle accident. The CHP is investigating the incident. As of now, no further details about the victim or additional injuries from the fatal crash have been released.
