According to the Hayward Police, a multi-vehicle collision involving 3 vehicles took place in Huntwood Avenue that killed a person on Sunday.
Approximately at 12:50 a.m., near the 27000 block of Huntwood Avenue, 3 vehicles were involved in a collision. When the officers arrived at the location, they found the driver of the second vehicle dead.
The passenger of that same vehicle endured severe injuries. The third vehicle that was involved in the collision escaped the scene.
The identity of the dead is not yet disclosed. It is not yet known if alcohol or drugs played a role in the crash. The cause of the fatal crash is still being investigated. No further information is available at the moment.
