On Wednesday, a pedestrian lost their life after being hit by a vehicle on Interstate 8 in Holtville.
As per the initial information, officers actively responded to the area of the freeway’s eastbound, close to Brock Research Center Road a little before 6:00 a.m. after getting reports of an auto-pedestrian accident. On arrival, emergency responders declared the person dead.
The circumstances surrounding the crash remain unknown at this time. The authorities will release the identity of the deceased after notifying the next of kin. No other details have been provided by the officials.
An investigation into the deadly crash is ongoing.
