A tragic incident unfolded in the Spring Branch area as a man lost his life while attempting to cross the street, sparking a search for the driver who struck him. The fatal crash occurred on Long Point Drive near Antoine Drive around 8 p.m. Tuesday.
According to Houston police, the man was violently thrown by the impact, resulting in his death. Sgt. David Rose highlighted that the pedestrian was not at a crosswalk when the speeding truck, described as a newer-model black Chevy Silverado with front-end damage, hit him.
Despite having surveillance footage of the incident, authorities have yet to identify the driver or obtain the truck’s license plate. The investigation into this tragic event continues.
