The California Highway Patrol (CHP) reported a pedestrian accident in San Jose on March 28. The collision occurred around 3:40 a.m. south of Old Oakland Road, involving a car travelling north and a pedestrian on Highway 101.
According to the authorities, the pedestrian whose identity is pending confirmation was fatally struck by a driver and succumbed to his injuries at Santa Clara Valley Medical Center. The driver, accompanied by two women from San Jose, sustained moderate injuries, and the right side of the car’s windshield shattered.
Authorities are currently investigating the cause of the fatal crash. It is not yet known whether alcohol or drugs played any role in the collision. No arrests were made as both women were wearing seatbelts at the time of the fatal crash.
