1 Person Killed In A Pedestrian Crash In San Diego (San Diego, CA)

According to the San Diego Police Department, a person was hit by a trash truck and killed in a pedestrian accident in downtown San Diego on Tuesday. 

Roughly at 5:22 a.m., a man who stepped into the roadway from the sidewalk was struck by a trash truck that was travelling south on Sixth Avenue. 

The pedestrian was killed at the scene. Authorities said that the pedestrian appeared to be between 30 to 40 years old. The identity of the dead is not yet disclosed. 

It is not yet known if alcohol or drugs played a role in the crash. The cause of the fatal crash is still being investigated. No further information is available at the moment.
