According to the California Highway Patrol, a pedestrian crash that took place in San Diego claimed the life of a person on Tuesday.
Approximately at 5:00 a.m., a vehicle traveling southbound on Interstate 5, East Village, lost control of the vehicle and struck a pedestrian who was walking in the same lane. The pedestrian was fatally injured and was pronounced dead at the scene.
The identity of the dead is not yet disclosed. It is not yet known if alcohol or drugs played a role in the crash. The cause of the fatal crash is still being investigated. No further information is available at the moment.
