The Los Angeles Police Department reported a pedestrian accident in Sylmar on Thursday. The accident occurred on 12887 North San Fernando Road and Bledsoe Street at around 10:20 p.m.
According to the officials, a pedestrian and a train were involved in a collision. The pedestrian was standing on the northbound train tracks when he was hit by the train. The events leading up to the man standing there are not yet known.
The pedestrian was fatally injured and was pronounced dead at the scene. The identity of the deceased victim is not yet known at this time.
The cause of the fatal crash is still being investigated at this time. It is not yet known if alcohol or drugs played a role in the collision. There are no other details available at this time.
