The California Highway Patrol reported a pedestrian accident in Stanton on Saturday. The accident occurred near the intersection of Katella Avenue and Beach Boulevard at around 11:52 p.m. on Friday.
According to the officials, a vehicle and a pedestrian were involved in the collision. The pedestrian was hit by a Yukon SUV. The events leading up to this are not entirely clear now.
The pedestrian was fatally injured and pronounced dead at the scene. The identity of the deceased victim has not been disclosed at this time. The driver of the Yukon remained at the scene and cooperated with the investigation.
