According to the California Highway Patrol, one person was killed in a pedestrian accident in South Whittier on Wednesday. Approximately at 9:25 p.m., the accident occurred at the intersection of Marquardt Avenue and Imperial Highway.
According to the officials, a pedestrian and two vehicles were involved in the collision. The pedestrian was crossing the road when they were struck by the two vehicles. The person was fatally injured and was declared dead on the spot.
The identity of the dead is not yet disclosed. It is not yet known if alcohol or drugs played a role in the crash. The cause of the fatal crash is still being investigated. No further information is available at the moment.
