Early Sunday morning in Solano County, a pedestrian tragically lost their life in a collision on eastbound Highway 37 near Skaggs Road. The multi-vehicle accident led to the closure of both directions of Highway 37 for over 90 minutes.
The driver of a Honda Civic involved in the collision pulled over, and no injuries were reported among the vehicle occupants. The closure allowed authorities to investigate the scene. The pedestrian was fatally injured and was pronounced dead at the scene. The identity of the deceased pedestrian has not been disclosed.
The California Highway Patrol (CHP) is actively working on the case to determine the circumstances surrounding the fatal crash. However, no alcohol or drugs were found at the scene.
