1 Person Killed In A Pedestrian Accident In Santa Monica (Santa Monica, CA)

The Santa Monica Police Department reported a pedestrian accident that claimed the life of a woman who was in her 50s in Santa Monica on Saturday. The accident occurred approximately at 1:50 a.m.

A woman pushing a cart was hit by a vehicle that was traveling in the 2900 block of Lincoln Boulevard. The woman was fatally injured and was pronounced dead at the scene. The vehicle that struck the woman stayed at the location and cooperated in the investigation. 

The identity of the dead is not yet disclosed. It is not yet known if alcohol or drugs played a role in the crash. The cause of the fatal crash is still being investigated. No further information is available at the moment.
