The Santa Monica Police Department reported a pedestrian accident that claimed the life of a pedestrian in Santa Monica on Monday.
Roughly at 5:30 a.m., a vehicle traveling at Ocean and Colorado avenues struck a pedestrian who was walking on the same road. The pedestrian was fatally injured and was pronounced dead at the scene. The vehicle that struck the pedestrian remained at the scene and cooperated in the investigation.
The identity of the dead is not yet disclosed. It is not yet known if alcohol or drugs played a role in the crash. The cause of the fatal crash is still being investigated. No further information is available at the moment.
